THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Before the 2026 South Montgomery County Fourth of July Parade stepped off, featured twirlers from area high schools gathered in the staging area for a photo and a few moments together.

Each student would soon take her place at the front of her school’s marching band, helping lead classmates through The Woodlands during one of the community’s favorite Independence Day traditions.
