Band Week Welcomes Next Generation of Highlander Musicians

Incoming freshmen join TWHS Marching Band at annual spring gathering


Wednesday, May 15, 2025 – 4:00 p.m.


The Woodlands, Texas – The Woodlands High School Marching Band hosted its annual spring Band Week gathering on Wednesday, bringing together current members and rising freshmen at the Senior Campus.


Held each May, Band Week serves as the official start of the transition for incoming freshmen into the high school marching band program.

The event began with a welcome from directors and student leaders, followed by section meetups, marching fundamentals, and an overview of summer expectations. Students toured the band hall, met their section leaders, and participated in their first ensemble practice on the school’s band lot.



This introduction event helps build momentum going into summer practices and creates early connections among members who will soon spend long hours together during summer band camp and football season performances.
