Bryson Bourn commits to Oklahoma baseball

The two-sport Highlander is taking the next step in his baseball career.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Bryson Bourn, an outfielder for The Woodlands High School and a member of the Class of 2027, has committed to play college baseball at the University of Oklahoma.

The commitment gives the Highlander community a reason to celebrate as Bourn begins his senior year. He plans to continue his baseball career with the Sooners after graduating from The Woodlands.

At a national baseball showcase in 2026, Bourn ran the 60-yard dash in 6.19 seconds. He also recorded a 90 mph throw from the outfield.

He plays travel baseball for Hunter Pence Baseball Academy's 2027 team. During football season, he trades the outfield for a wide receiver's role on The Woodlands varsity team.

Bourn is the son of former major league outfielder Michael Bourn, a two-time All-Star who led the National League in stolen bases for three consecutive seasons from 2009 through 2011.

The Woodlands Student Center congratulates Bryson on his commitment and looks forward to following his senior year with the Highlanders.
