THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Wednesday, May 13, 2026 — College Park High School cheerleaders, friends and family members gathered Wednesday to celebrate two senior cheerleaders who will continue cheerleading at the collegiate level.

Hannah Kavachnik and Miley Wilkins were recognized during a ceremonial signing event at College Park High School as the program celebrated their commitments before graduation. Head Cheer Coach Abi Cosentino said collegiate cheerleading is different from many traditional high school athletics because athletes often must try out individually for college squads rather than go through a traditional recruiting process.

Kavachnik, a four-year College Park cheerleader and three-year competition team member, will attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where she plans to pursue a career as a pilot while also cheering. According to Cosentino, Kavachnik has long wanted to become a pilot and will continue her cheer career at Embry-Riddle, where the cheer program supports sports such as basketball and volleyball and also competes.
Wilkins, who has cheered at College Park for four years and also participated in band for four years, will continue her cheer career at Liberty University. Cosentino noted that Wilkins balanced two high-commitment activities throughout high school and gave up her

double early release during the final weeks of school to return to cheer class and prepare for her in-person tryout in Virginia. Wilkins also competed with the College Park competition team for two years, including Nationals and UIL, and was recognized as a strong back spot.
The signing came during a standout year for College Park cheer. The team won the 2026 Super Varsity Non-Tumbling Division I Game Day national title at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida. The program also has built a tradition of preparing cheerleaders for opportunities beyond high school, with alumni who have gone on to cheer in NCAA programs and in the NFL.
Because college cheer tryouts often take place late in the school year, additional College Park cheerleaders are still in the process of trying out for college cheer programs. The program wishes them the best of luck as they pursue opportunities to continue cheering at the next level.
After the ceremonial signing, the cheerleaders posed for photos with family, friends and members of the College Park cheer program as the school celebrated their next step beyond high school.
