Jett Center luncheon celebrates academic achievement and future plans

Shenandoah, Texas — College Park High School honored its Class of 2025 top 15% graduates Wednesday at the annual luncheon held at the Conroe ISD Jett Center at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah, Texas.

Families, school administration, and Conroe ISD leaders gathered to recognize the achievements of students ranked in the top 15% of the graduating class. Among the honorees were students from the Academy of Science and Technology, the school’s prestigious science- and technology-focused magnet program.
Graduating seniors were recognized in three distinction levels: Summa Cum Laude (top 0–5%, meaning “highest praise”), Magna Cum Laude (top 5–10%, meaning “great praise”), and Cum Laude (top 10–15%, meaning “with praise”). These honors will also be acknowledged at graduation, where students will wear stoles signifying their academic standing.
The program opened with a welcome from Principal Robert MacFarlane, followed by Pledges to the Flags by the College Park MCJROTC.The event began with breakfast for students and their families, setting a celebratory tone. Each student was called to the stage to receive a certificate listing their honor distinction, intended college, and future plans. Principal Robert MacFarlane personally greeted each honoree with a handshake and congratulations.
Addressing the students, MacFarlane said, “Today we recognize an outstanding group of men and women and their remarkable commitment to excellence. You have obtained distinctions that will remain with you for a lifetime, including admission to some of the nation’s finest universities.”
Conroe ISD leadership and the district’s communications team attended to support and celebrate the students’ achievements, taking photos and engaging with families.
As they exited the Jett Center, students received personalized graduation yard signs displaying their earned academic honors, giving families a meaningful way to showcase their student’s success at home.
The Top 15 Honor Graduate Luncheon remains a cherished tradition at College Park, reflecting the school’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and student success.
