The Woodlands, Texas — The College Park High School Reveliers Drill Team captured a national championship at the March 27–29, 2026 Crowd Pleasers Dance Nationals in Galveston, earning the Overall National Champion in Kick against teams from across Texas and beyond.

After advancing from preliminary competition into finals, where they improved their score and moved ahead of competitors, including John B. Alexander High School from San Antonio. The team’s final performance received diamond-level scoring, the highest rating awarded at the competition.
Reveliers Director Alison Lowery said the team’s determination played a key role in the finals performance.
“We performed in the prelims… our kick received a high enough score and we were actually second place, but we were one-tenth of a point behind the first-place team,” Lowery said. “Then we went and practiced Sunday morning and worked really, really hard… they weren’t going to lose again by a tenth of a point, and they beat them by almost two points.”
Lowery also confirmed the championship represented the top award in the category.
“It’s the overall out of all the teams that performed a kick at the contest — we got first place,” Lowery said.

In addition to the national championship, the Reveliers recorded several strong finishes across categories:
Select Extra Large Team — 4th Runner Up Overall
Select Extra Large Kick — 1st Runner Up
Select Extra Large Pom — 4th Runner Up
Select Extra Large Novelty — 2nd Runner Up
Crowd Pleasers Award — Team Kick
The Reveliers officers also posted multiple top finishes:
Select Extra Large Officer Contemporary — Winner
Select Extra Large Officer Pom — Winner
Select Extra Large Officer Jazz — 3rd Runner Up
Select Extra Large Officer Open — 2nd Runner Up
Select Extra Large Officer Division — 3rd Runner Up Overall
Competition at the Galveston event included preliminary and finals rounds, with teams advancing based on scores. College Park improved its score in finals after placing second in preliminaries.
Following the competition, the team celebrated the national championship with a dolphin tour in Galveston Bay and a visit to the Kemah Boardwalk before returning home.
“We just did a dolphin tour in the Bay of Galveston… and then we’re heading to Kemah where they have wristbands to do rides,” Lowery said. “We’re having fun today after all our hard work.”

The Reveliers, the award-winning dance and drill team at College Park High School, compete in multiple performance categories and perform throughout the school year, including halftime performances at football games, basketball games, pep rallies, and community events. The team is commonly referred to as the drill team or kick team and is part of the school’s spirit and performance programs.
The national championship marks one of the top finishes for the program this season and highlights College Park’s continued presence at state and national-level competitions.
