Dr. Mark Murrell, who has led College Park High School since its opening 21 years ago, is now Conroe ISD’s Executive Director of Operations.
During the April 16, 2024, meeting of the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees, it was announced that Dr. Mark Murrell will be transitioning from his role as Principal of College Park High School to become the Executive Director of Operations at Conroe ISD. In his new capacity, Dr. Murrell will oversee critical district functions, including Transportation, Child Nutrition, Network Services, Health Services, and Campus Safety.
Dr. Murrell has distinguished himself over a 21-year tenure as the founding principal of College Park High School, steering the school from its inception through its establishment as a cornerstone of educational excellence within the community. Under his leadership, College Park has flourished, fostering an environment of academic achievement and holistic development for its students.
The district plans to announce Dr. Murrell’s successor before the conclusion of the 2024 school year, ensuring a smooth transition and continued leadership excellence at College Park High School.
