SHENANDOAH, Texas — Grand Oaks High School seniors Caleb Green and Logan Bevil were crowned the school's 2026 Homecoming King and Queen on Thursday, Oct. 8, during halftime of the Grizzlies' varsity football game against the Oak Ridge War Eagles at Woodforest Bank Stadium.

The coronation took place before a sold-out Grand Oaks crowd during the Grizzlies' homecoming football game against rival Oak Ridge. With the marching band, color guard, Royal Pride dance team and cheerleaders surrounding the field, the ceremony brought together students, families, school leadership and returning alumni for one of the school's homecoming traditions.

The halftime ceremony brought together the Grand Oaks Homecoming Court, the Royal Pride dance team, varsity cheerleaders, marching band and color guard.
Members of the Homecoming Court were introduced individually to the stadium crowd, with each student's biography read over the public address system as they walked onto the field escorted by their parents.
The procession passed a line of colorful flags displayed by the color guard. Across the field, the marching band, dancers and cheerleaders framed the presentation, creating a pageant-like setting for the announcement of the new king and queen.
The evening's ceremony continued a Grand Oaks tradition in which the previous year's Homecoming King and Queen return to crown their successors.
Caleb Green — 2026 Homecoming King
Caleb Green, a member of the Grand Oaks varsity baseball team and the school's 399 Club, was named Homecoming King.
Green plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in construction engineering.

He was crowned by Grand Oaks alumnus Cullen Thompson, the previous year's Homecoming King. Thompson is now a freshman defensive lineman and edge rusher for the Texas State University Bobcats football team.
Logan Bevil — 2026 Homecoming Queen
Logan Bevil, a member of the National Honor Society, Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society and the 399 Club, was named Homecoming Queen.
Bevil plans to attend Texas A&M University, where she intends to major in public health.

She received her crown from 2025 Homecoming Queen Ambrielle Perdue, a Grand Oaks graduate who now attends Texas Southern University in Houston, where she studies civil engineering. Perdue was a standout member of the Grand Oaks track and field team.
School spirit and Grizzly Nation
Both Green and Bevil are members of the 399 Club, Grand Oaks High School's student-run spirit organization.
The club organizes student sections, encourages participation in school activities and leads student enthusiasm at athletic events, particularly varsity football games. Its members help bring together the student body under the "Grizzly Nation" banner.
Grand Oaks Principal Dr. Frederick Black Jr. was the first to congratulate the newly named Homecoming King and Queen, presenting Caleb Green and Logan Bevil with their royal sashes before they were crowned by the previous year's homecoming royalty.
With the band and student performance groups surrounding the ceremony, Green and Bevil took their place as the school's 2026 Homecoming King and Queen. They will reign for the coming year before returning next fall to crown their successors, continuing a Grand Oaks tradition that brings together current students, families and returning alumni.
