Grand Oaks HS Choir to Present 2026 Pop Show on May 7

Community invited to evening of student performances, choir selections and full-cast numbers


Grand Oaks High School Choir will present its 2026 Pop Show at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Grand Oaks HS Auditorium. Students, families and members of the public are invited to attend an evening of music featuring full-cast numbers, featured student audition selections and performances by select choir ensembles within the Grand Oaks Choir program. The production opens with Better When I’m Dancing and closes with Why We Sing, both listed as full-cast performances.



After auditions, the top featured performers were selected to take the stage as part of the show. The program includes performances by Grand Oaks Choir ensembles including Bel Canto, Bravado, Cantus, Statesmen, A Cappella, Cantabile & Chorale and Conspirare, along with student-led selections from pop, musical theater and choral repertoire.

The Woodlands Student Center’s must-see performances, beyond the full-cast numbers, include I’ll Find You, performed by JJ Jones and Lexi Rock; Journey to the Past, performed by Ellie Yarbrough; She Used to Be Mine, performed by Emily Tomlin; and Feeling Good, performed by Kai Desel.



The show is directed and choreographed by J.R. Smith, Grand Oaks Director of Choirs, and Bryanna Robilotto, Grand Oaks Associate Director of Choirs. The Grand Oaks Choir program began in fall 2018 and has grown to seven performing ensembles with 250 students for the 2025-26 school year.
