SHENANDOAH, Texas — Oak Ridge High School crowned Jesse Leija and Rhea Robichaux as its 2026 Homecoming king and queen Friday, Oct. 23, during halftime of the War Eagles’ varsity football game against Caney Creek High School at Woodforest Bank Stadium.

The annual Homecoming coronation, hosted by the Oak Ridge High School Student Council, recognized two students whose accomplishments extend from varsity athletics to academics and campus leadership.
Oak Ridge High School Principal Nina N. Norman had the honor of crowning the new king and queen and was the first to congratulate them as they received their Homecoming titles. The Student Council president and vice president also participated in the ceremony, helping carry on one of the school's traditional Homecoming celebrations.

Homecoming King Jesse Leija is a right-handed pitcher on the Oak Ridge varsity baseball team. Leija has verbally committed to continue his baseball career at Galveston College, marking an important step toward competing at the collegiate level.
Homecoming Queen Rhea Robichaux is captain of the Oak Ridge varsity tennis team and an active leader in several student organizations. She serves on Student Council and is co-chair of DASH (Drug, Alcohol, Safety and Health Awareness), a campus organization focused on student awareness and safety.
Robichaux also serves as historian of the Interact Club and is a member of the National Honor Society, balancing her athletic responsibilities with academics, student leadership and community service activities.

War Eagles Celebrate Homecoming Victory
The celebration extended beyond the halftime coronation as the Oak Ridge varsity football team delivered a 45–26 victory over Caney Creek in their District 13-6A matchup.
A Night in New York
Homecoming festivities continued Saturday, Oct. 24, as Oak Ridge students returned to campus for the school's 2026 Homecoming dance, themed “A Night in New York.”
Held in the senior campus cafeteria at Oak Ridge High School in Conroe, the evening brought students together for music, dancing and a celebration of War Eagle school spirit.
The New York-inspired dance followed a week of Homecoming activities, including themed dress-up days, a Homecoming parade, Friday night's football game and the crowning of the king and queen.
Together, the football victory, coronation and Saturday night dance brought the school's 2026 Homecoming celebration to a close.
For Leija and Robichaux, the weekend added a special distinction to their high school experience as they joined Oak Ridge's Homecoming tradition.
Congratulations to Jesse Leija and Rhea Robichaux, Oak Ridge High School's 2026 Homecoming king and queen!
