The Woodlands, Texas — Members of the National Charity Roundtable (NCR) gathered Sunday at The Woodlands Country Club to recognize the Class of 2026 during the organization’s annual Chevalier Ceremony, a pre-Super Bowl tradition that has become a fixture on the club’s community calendar.

The event was held in the Legacy Ballroom at The Woodlands Country Club, located at 100 Grand Fairway in The Woodlands, Texas, and brought together students, families, and members for a formal luncheon and recognition program highlighting service, leadership, and long-term community involvement.

Before the seated program began, members arrived early to visit with one another and take small group and family photographs throughout the venue. The Woodlands Country Club staff provided coordinated service during the event, including a formal lunch in the club’s Legacy Ballroom.

The ceremony opened with welcome remarks from Courtney West, president of the National Charity Roundtable’s Woodlands Chapter.

An inspirational message followed from Jack Tresaugue, a senior at The Woodlands High School and member of the NCR Class of 2026. Tresaugue shared a personal reflection on how volunteering has influenced him over the past year and the lasting role service will play throughout his life.

During the meal, a senior slideshow was presented recognizing every member of the NCR Class of 2026. The presentation served as a central moment of the program and acknowledged each student’s participation and service during their time with the organization.

The featured guest speaker was Luke Redus of Compassion United, who addressed attendees following the slideshow. Redus spoke on compassion, service, and the role of community in supporting others, drawing on his background in nonprofit leadership and recovery advocacy.

Following his remarks, NCR presented Redus with a donation to support the work of Compassion United.

Before the formal presentation of the Class of 2026, NCR leadership recognized a senior who was unable to attend. John Michael Calhoun, a senior at The Woodlands High School, has been a member of NCR since 2020 and recorded the highest number of volunteer hours in the Class of 2026, totaling 274 hours. NCR announced plans to present Calhoun with a special award at a later date.

The presentation of the Class of 2026 was led by Courtney West and Tracey Chapman, NCR president-elect. Each attending senior was recognized individually and received a graduation cord, certificate, and gift as part of the Chevalier Ceremony.
