New indoor golf experience opens near Creekside Park, invites community to Aug. 29 celebration

TrackMan simulators, personalized coaching and 24-hour member access give local golfers a year-round place to practice, play and improve.

SPRING, Texas — Tee Box–The Woodlands has opened an indoor virtual golf facility designed to give local golfers a year-round place to practice, play and improve their game.

The community is invited to explore the new facility during its grand opening celebration Saturday, Aug. 29, from 3 to 6 p.m. at 25903 Elmfield Drive, Suite 400, in the Augusta Pines area just south of Creekside Park. The event will feature golf contests, giveaways, food and drinks.

Unlike simulator venues built primarily for entertainment, Tee Box places a strong emphasis on player development. Its TrackMan simulator bays use radar, cameras and advanced tracking technology to record each shot and provide immediate information about ball speed, club speed, launch angle, spin and other measurements that can help golfers understand and improve their performance.

The technology is paired with professional instruction instead of leaving players to interpret the information on their own. Box Pro Dean Choate will work with members to develop personalized improvement plans based on their swings, physical abilities and individual goals.

Additional services include SportsboxAI 3D swing analysis, precision club fitting, a PuttView practice area and fitness training intended to improve the strength, flexibility and movement involved in the golf swing. Members also receive 24-hour access, making it possible to practice early in the morning, late at night or whenever their schedules allow—and without worrying about rain or the Texas heat.

Although player development is the facility’s primary focus, Tee Box is not limited to serious training sessions. TrackMan’s courses, games and competitive challenges also give families, friends and groups a different way to enjoy golf together.

“We built this to give local golfers real tools to improve, backed by real coaching,” said Camron Sanford, who owns the facility with his brother and business partner, Colton Sanford. “Dean brings the expertise to make that happen.”

Tee Box began its soft opening Aug. 17. Those unable to attend Saturday’s celebration are encouraged to stop by and explore the new facility or book a complimentary Box Assessment.
