Police Seek Public’s Help Finding Missing Grand Oaks High School Student
17-year-old Genna Bentley was last seen Oct. 8 in Spring; investigators say documents suggest she may have planned to travel toward Canada.
SPRING, Texas — The Conroe ISD Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating 17-year-old Genna Silas Crowe Bentley, a Grand Oaks High School student who has been missing since Thursday, Oct. 8.
Bentley was last seen at approximately 12:50 p.m. at Grand Oaks High School, 4800 Riley Fuzzel Road in Spring. Investigators say documents she left behind suggest she may have intended to travel toward Oregon or Washington before possibly crossing into Canada.

According to the police department's public alert, Bentley is:
5 feet, 2 inches tall,
weighs approximately 130 pounds and
has brown or blond hair and blue eyes
She wears gold-framed glasses, has a mole near her left eyebrow and sometimes goes by the name “Michael.”

At the time she was last seen, Bentley was wearing jeans, a graphic T-shirt and a large dark jacket. She was also carrying a large black garment bag.
Her mother, Korbyn Johnson, said her daughter had no previous history of running away. Johnson also described a possible sighting in College Station, although that report has not been confirmed.
Johnson said the family discovered a map in Bentley's school Google Drive account showing a walking route toward Oregon, along with notes about the journey. She said her daughter had previously expressed an interest in traveling after graduation.
Conroe ISD police have entered Bentley's information into statewide and national law enforcement databases as the search continues.
Anyone who has seen Bentley or has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Conroe ISD Police Department at 936-709-8911 and reference case number 2610-38015.
