Team Tennis: District 13-6A Field Splits Between Unbeaten and Winless Teams

The Woodlands, Texas - College Park, Grand Oaks, Oak Ridge and The Woodlands have opened district competition 2–0, creating a four-way tie for first place entering Tuesday’s third round.

The early results have divided the standings evenly: four undefeated teams and four teams still searching for their first district victory. That separation makes Tuesday’s schedule important as the race for the district’s four state-tournament invitations begins to take shape.

The matchup to watch is Conroe at Oak Ridge. The War Eagles can remain among the district leaders with a victory, while Conroe needs a win to prevent an 0–3 start.

College Park is scheduled to play at Cleveland, although Cleveland’s forfeit against Grand Oaks suggests it may be struggling to field a team. College Park could also receive a forfeit if Cleveland remains unable to compete.

Grand Oaks travels to Willis, while The Woodlands hosts Caney Creek. The four current leaders will all be favored to remain undefeated, meaning the district’s early four-team separation could continue into Game 4.
