Thousands of community members gathered early Thanksgiving morning to participate in family-friendly run and walk events designed for all ages. The annual event has raised more than $3.5 million over its history to benefit local nonprofit organizations.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Plaza was open throughout the morning, offering complimentary coffee, refreshments, holiday-themed photo stations, and an awards stage for participants. The festive atmosphere created a welcoming environment for runners, walkers, families, and spectators.

The YMCA Run Thru the Woods remains one of South Montgomery County’s most recognized Thanksgiving morning traditions, bringing neighbors together while supporting community-focused charities
